This training offers a rigorous and practical approach to financial management tailored to the realities of the early childhood sector.
Focusing on the acquisition of concrete skills, the program enables participants to better anticipate financial challenges, avoid common errors, and ensure the reliability of accounting information throughout the year. Delivered online and entirely in French, the course also encourages networking among professionals in the sector.
Program Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand and apply the fundamentals of accounting and daily financial management in a childcare setting
- Master advanced aspects of accrual accounting and financial adjustment techniques
- Efficiently use the ACCEO Childcare Services software to manage subsidies, produce financial statements, and oversee budgets
- Strengthen internal control mechanisms to ensure the financial security of their organization
- Produce reliable and customized accounting documents that comply with budgetary rules
Program Content
The program is structured into three distinct modules, totaling 45 hours of instruction. Each module balances theory and practice, with applied exercises, case studies, and formative assessments.
Module 1: Accounting and Daily Management
This module covers basic accounting and day-to-day financial operations specific to the childcare services context. Participants will learn to read financial statements, manage billing for childcare services, suppliers, and payroll processing.
Module 2: Advanced Accounting and Financial Management
This module deepens participants’ accounting skills with a focus on accrual accounting, adjustments, bank reconciliations, and component- and project-based accounting. Special attention is given to managing payroll adjustments.
Module 3: Essential Concepts for Management Staff
Entirely focused on using the ACCEO Childcare Services software, this module teaches participants how to configure the software, manage subsidies based on actual attendance, prepare budget forecasts, monitor financial results by installation, and enhance internal controls. This module is particularly recommended for managerial staff.
Duration and Schedule
The training program consists of 45 total hours, divided into three 15-hour modules. It is offered online, providing great flexibility while maintaining a high level of instructional support.
